CANIBAD: Secret Paradise Resort

One empirical characteristic dominating most of the teenagers or, as classified by the society, the youths is being venturous. We tend to break the chains that hinder us to grow in the society we belonged to. And with this quality, we escape the dungeon of nonentity created by our minds and peek of which reality nature holds, through adventure. Adventures that conceive blissful memories for my friends to perpetuate, happy and joyful moments for my classmates to retain, and euphoria for my family to reap.

My family is indeed adventurous as well. Though we haven’t been able to travel distant and far-off tourist spots in the Philippines or even tourist attractions within Mindanao, but I can proudly say that we have been able to travel and journey most of the highly visited beaches in the Garden City of Samal – the birthplace of my parents.

           
One of the most unforgettable and memorable adventure that we had with my family was when we visited and stayed in the Secret Paradise Resort in Canibad, behind the island of Samal.

I was able to understand and realize as to why it is called “secret.” It is because of the secluded location and the geographic landscape it is set on. The journey was indeed a joyride on a rocky road. Nonetheless, before we were able to arrive at our destination, I sought reasons as to why it is as well named “paradise,” saying that the scenic are way better and quaint, and its beach is comparable like of those found in Palawan or Boracay.

            The journey I experienced there was not just because of my family. It was also because I wanted to understand, know, and prove the opinions of the people praising the resort, and to also witness through my naked eyes the paradise it holds.

Sun-scorched. Fetching. Worth it. Those are the only words I can describe as I saw how beautiful the place is. The beach scintillates sparks as sunlight hits on it. The sand causes the dazzling white shore. Indeed, a secret paradise.

We didn’t waste much time. We immediately immerse ourselves with the waves and with its clear and clean water. You have to know how to float and swim since with just a few steps, shallowness is defied. In this vacation, I was able to experience kayaking by my own. Along with that, I was tested as I jumped over a 25 feet cliff towards a 10-feet deep water. And I guess it was the bravest thing I did before.

Enjoyment, satisfaction, and delight were felt and attested during this indelible journey. Through the opportunity of posting this experience, I would definitely recommend this place. I have discovered that this resort found in Canibad, Garden City of Samal, contextualize the true definition of paradise. And I affirm its natural beauty. I will not forget this juncture of time in my life where I was able to see how beautiful the creation our Lord God has made, and how this brought smile and joy to my family even just for a moment.
